Low Productivity should not = guilt.

I’ll be real. I put a lot of my worth in how productive I am. It’s a barrier to my mental health that I struggle with daily. Some days, the pressure I put on myself to succeed can be overwhelming and I have to ground myself. Today, I found out that my brother and his wife are having a baby. This will make me an aunt to 12. How beautiful is that? This news really made me take a step back and understand what is important to me. We are only on this planet for a limited amount of time. It’s crazy to me that I, and others get so caught up in how hard we are working that we lose sight of life’s greatest gifts. If you’ve ever felt this way, please know that you’re not alone. You’re also doing great, and you don’t have to say yes to taking on that project you know you can’t complete. You don’t have to go out with friends every night. You don’t have to constantly be running around. Take some time to yourself this week and jot down what means the most to you. Give these areas of your life your attention. Doing this from time to time really helps me when I feel inadequate for not completing a work task or studying for school. I hope this can help you as well. Xoxo The Holistic Chick.
